TOKYO — J-pop star Ayumi Hamasaki stares out from gigantic billboards with a unicorn tattoo on her shoulder. All over Tokyo, young people proudly display arms and legs covered in intricate designs. Tattoo studios are sprouting up everywhere. Japan, known for an aversion to the tattoo so strong that it forbids wearers to enter onsen and assumes that anyone sporting one is yakuza, seems a
